How to get here >
On a plane
Direct flights from Helsinki to Rovaniemi every day, all year round. In winter and spring seasons direct flights from London, Manchester and Istanbul to Rovaniemi. Nova Skyland is only 3 km from the Rovaniemi airport. More information on the airport here.
Rent a car or drive your own to Rovaniemi and Nova Skyland. Make sure you check the driving conditions before you start, especially in winter. See road conditions and weather here.
Take a train to Rovaniemi from southern Finland or from the north in Kemijärvi. Train tickets are available in the VR Online Shop.

Booking Terms >
Payments accepted by Nova Skyland: bank transfer, credit card and Alipay. The customer is responsible for all service fees charged by the bank.
A bank transfer must reach our account within 5 working days during high season and within 14 days during low season. We have the right to release all preliminary reservations without notice if the payment has not reached our account in time.
All reservations are for accommodation purposes only.
The availability and price of the rooms may change if changes are made to the final reservation.
In case of a dispute the hotel has the right to make the final decision.

- 100 % of bank transfer sum must be in our account within 14 days.
- 30 % of the estimated total sum will not be refunded.
Mid-season (16 Nov 2019–16 Dec 2019; 10 Jan 2020–21 Jan 2020; 31 Jan 2020–31 March 2020)
100 % of the bank transfer sum must be in our account within 5 days. 50 % of the estimated total sum will not be refunded.
61–120 days before arrival 70 % of the estimated total sum will not be refunded.
60 days before arrival 100 % of the estimated total sum will not be refunded.
High season (17 Dec 2019–9 Jan 2020; 22 Jan 2020–30 Jan 2020; Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year and during 17 Dec 2019–9 Jan 2020)

Cancellations and changes are not allowed after the reservation has been confirmed.

Our hotel has a paid service that finds you airport transportation.
You must be 18 or over to be served alcohol. Finnish law forbids alcohol to be delivered from the restaurant to the hotel rooms.
We are happy to help guests with any allergy concerns. Please, let us know if you have allergies at latest when you arrive.
AURORA BOREALIS ALERT
You can purchase an Aurora Borealis alert service at the reception. The service will send you a text and email message when northern lights appear. See more: https://auroraalert.fi
Included in room the price, a breakfast buffet is served daily in the Nova Restaurant.
BREAKFAST TO YOUR ROOM
Order a breakfast to your room. Please ask for this paid service at the reception.
Ask for rental cars at the hotel reception.
The room price includes cleaning only after check-out. Please ask at the reception if you would like to have extra cleaning during your stay, a change of bedlinen, an anti-allergy pillow etc.
Banks exchange the most common currencies.
Check-out is at 11.00 am. At an extra cost you may extend your reservation if there are available rooms. Please ask at the reception. A later check-out (11 am–12 noon) costs €20. Between 12 noon and 3 pm a check-out costs half of the daily rate of the room.

Each apartment has a hair dryer in the bathroom.
All apartments have adjustable underfloor heating.
The customer is responsible for returning their key at the end of their stay. The charge for unreturned key is €50 / key.
The customer is responsible for cleaning the kitchen utensils and crockery. Hotel Nova Skyland has the right to charge €50 for uncleaned utensils and crockery.
Lost property is stored as required by law. The customer is responsible for the costs of delivery to home of lost property.
Customers may leave their luggage at the hotel reception free of charge and pick them up later.
Parking for the Aurora, Metsänhenki and Metsänsyli is located by the apartments. Parking for the Aurora Suite is located in the parking area of the main building. Parking is free with accommodation.
Pets are not allowed.
Please ask at the reception about the nearest pharmacy and emergency services.
SAFE DEPOSIT BOX
Please do not leave your valuables in sight in your room. There are safe deposit boxes in your room and at the reception. Nova Skyland is not responsible for lost property.

Smoking is not allowed indoors according to Finnish law. The fine for smoking indoors is €500–€800. There is an ashtray on the outside deck of each apartment.
A taxi can be ordered for you at the reception.
You can borrow umbrellas at the hotel reception.
Unregistered guests in rooms during 8 pm–10 am are charged €100 /person/night.
A free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel area. Choose network “Nova Skyland Guest”. No password needed.
