Why drive behind a sleigh full of kids, if you can join a snowmobile safari for adults only? This safari is focused solely on snowmobile driving, so that guests can get a great introduction to this favorite Finnish hobby. Our tracks will lead us across the frozen river, without any trees, which gives our guests a great first driving experience, feeling the thrill of the ride on the wide river tracks.
The terrain for driving will be diverse and you will experience open space along the river but also forest tracks and if conditions allow, we will be accessing a beautiful panoramic point with a view to the whole Rovaniemi. There is no snowmobiling for Finns without stopping for a campfire snack - riding a snowmobile definitely works up a hunger for a delicious sausage, some warm berry juice and for those who want to feel the magic of the campfire, some roasted marshmallows and cookies.
This experience is perfect for all, who might not be sure if snowmobiling a whole day is for them, but still wish to get an authentic snowmobiling experience with plenty of opportunities for a great photo of you on a snowmobile.

- 1-hour and 40-minute snowmobiling
- 20-minute campfire in nature with campfire snack.
- Activity’s return transfer from/to Nova Skyland Hotel reception
- Program guiding and snowmobile instruction in English
- Winter thermal clothing & equipment (overalls, boots, gloves, woollen socks, balaclava and helmet)
Please note:
- Each person driving a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving license (B) valid in Finland. Please remember to take your driving license (original or electronic copy) with you on the snowmobile safari as the police may check the validity of the license during the safari.
- Driving a motorized vehicle under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs is prohibited by the laws of Finland.
- Each snowmobile is shared by two guests taking turns in driving. Two persons per snowmobile. For groups of 3 persons or other odd numbers of people, we highly recommend purchasing one single-driver supplement.
- Snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. Personal self-liability is max. 900 €/person/snowmobile/case of accident. By purchasing a 20 € self-liability insurance before the start of the safari, you reduce the amount of self-liability down to max. 150 €/person/snowmobile/case of accident. Self-liability insurance is personal and valid in one snowmobile safari.
- This program is designed for adults only. The hotel reserves the right to cancel any activity reservation without prior notice if the customer reserves the program with a child included.
